The wall clock Roman was created by Arne Jacobsen in connection with Jacobsen's and Erik Møller's town hall project for Aarhus in 1941. The Roman wall clock was part of the interior of the town hall, which furniture was created by another world-famous Dane, Hans Jørgen Wegner.
As the name suggests, the wall clock's Roman numerals help to give the wall clock its very special expression. Today, the novel is considered by many to be a Danish design icon for the home.
