The Series 7™ chair is an icon in modern furniture history, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955. Its unique shape is timeless and incredibly versatile, displaying character without overpowering the eye. The chair is made from 9 layers of pressure moulded veneer for strength, flexibility and durability despite its slender form. This is the most popular design within Fritz Hansen’s chair collection.

In 2026, Fritz Hansen marks the 100th anniversary of Danish design visionary Verner Panton with Series 7™ – Verner Panton 100. This special re-edition brings back four warm tones from the colour palette Panton created for Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7™ in the early 1970s.

Reflecting Panton’s deep fascination with the sensory and psychological power of colour, the yellow, orange, red and brown hues bring renewed energy to the chair’s sculptural silhouette, reaffirming both his continued relevance and the enduring role of colour in contemporary interiors.
